My name is Jaz Sierra, Florida raised until I moved to Philadelphia to help church plant for the last 7 years. Never thought it would be possible for me to leave my small town of Chuluota, FL let alone cross an ocean to Northern Ireland! I come from a single parent home, faced many obstacles, endured some trauma and did not have a Christian foundation until my late teen years when God intervened in a way that I could not ignore. I’ve worked with inner city students in church and at my job at a charter school for the last 8 years, and it has been some of the most incredible years of my life. I was called into missions even though I didn’t look, sound, or have the same background as other missionaries I’ve met. After being called, I found an old middle school journal where I wrote about my dreams to travel to the UK. The journal entry had pictures of the UK that I printed at the library, and poorly pasted in. I thought it was the closest I could get to reaching that dream. Now God is sending me there to share God’s message with children and youth in Northern Ireland. To let them know about a God who intervenes, a God who paves a way, and a God who can use anybody.
