Mary and Elizabeth had a unique relationship wherein they were both able to encourage and uplift each other despite their age differences and circumstances. Elizabeth assured Mary that she was indeed walking in the will of God. And Mary was able to remind Elizabeth that God uplifts the humble and his mercy lasts throughout the generations. As women of God we are meant to encourage each other, to not act in jealousy or comparison. In this lesson Deborah teaches on how we can apply these lessons from Elizabeth’s and Mary’s relationship and act upon it in our own lives.
Today Dr. Edith brings the message of “only believe all things are possible.” This lesson on Mary is uplifting and encouraging, especially in times of hardship. Dr. Edith reminds us to endure our circumstances patiently, because when we allow the Holy Spirit to fill us up, the impossible becomes the possible. We pray that this message touches your heart and strengthens your spirit.
In Week Three Edition of our Women of the Bible Series, we learn about Mary Magdalene, and how we can come before Jesus, letting Him take our sin and shame away. Join Dr. Deborah Harper, as we hear from Pastor Margaret McLewin sharing on Mary Magdalene’s origin and the freedom she experienced through Christ. Come to the Harper Kitchen where Galen shares with us one of his family’s favorite recipes. And then join Bonnie in a time of worship, feeling the love of God surrounding you. We also hear from Christal, as she shares her testimony of overcoming depression and living a full and rewarding life. Finally Deborah wraps up this Edition with a word on Mary Magdalene, and how we, just like Mary, can find faith in believing the miracles Jesus gives us.
Deborah shares with us what it might have been like for Mary Magdalene to be the first one to see Jesus after His resurrection, and how we, just like Mary, can believe in the miracles Jesus is given to us today.
Mary Magdalene is the topic of many books, commentaries, and teachings but who is she really? And how can we relate to her? Margaret takes us a little deeper into what Mary’s life may have looked like, showing us that wherever we may come from, we can love and serve Jesus with a whole heart.
A wife, prophetess, judge, and a leader of Israel. This is what the Bible says about Deborah. In this teaching, Patricia Vera breaks down Deborah’s role in the liberation of Israel and encourages us in our own lives to be faithful and obedient to God’s calling, and give Him glory for the work accomplished.
Do we honor those around us? Giving thanks and acknowledging all those who encourage, pray, and walk alongside us? In this teaching, Dr. Dana gives us the background of Deborah and Jael, two extraordinary women, each from different walks of life, whose character and courage we can apply to our own everyday lives.
How do you love? We each have our own unique way of showing love to others. Let’s dig a little deeper as we join Shermaine as she talks about Martha and Mary, and how they expressed love for Jesus each in their own way.
