God wants a deep and lasting relationship with us, imparting knowledge and understanding into our hearts so that we may walk according to His will and His ways, and so that we might also go and bless others. But how do we get there? The scriptures say that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A sincere and awesome respect for the Almighty God! Join the Hyatte Sisters as they discuss how we can grow further in the wisdom of our Heavenly Father, by studying and meditating upon His infallible, and enduring WORD.
In this week’s edition, we are discussing the theme of giving. What does it mean to give of ourselves and offer up what we have to serve God, and others well? What does the Bible say about giving to the poor? And what is God’s reward for doing so? It’s unlike what happens when we want more than what we have, and don’t want to share.
We hope you find this edition insightful as we hear from our guests on what they have been led to share.
Join Cindy as she sits down and talks with us about the treasures the book of Proverbs holds and the joy that comes with offering our lives up to walk in the wisdom of our heavenly Father. Dr. Deborah will share with us a tasty chicken salad recipe inspired from Buc-ee’s. We’ll hear from Dr. Dana on what the Bible says about taking care of the poor and being generous with a pure heart. Gillian will then lead us into song and we pray you can sit and soak in the presence of God as we worship Him!
All here, this second week, of our winter series, on the Wisdom of the Proverbs, at Magnolia Place!
In this time of worship, take a moment to let the presence of God rest upon you as Gillian Harper leads us in song. He has given so much to us, and He is great! Give Him thanks today.
When asked to give to someone in need where do you pull from first? Join Dr. Dana as she teaches on the poor and being generous with a pure heart, not withholding the best out of selfishness. Giving is wise, because we show that we are aware of heaven’s economy! And we know that the Lord will give to us every blessing we need.
Inspired from Buc-ee’s, a rest and refreshment store chain located in Texas and throughout the southeastern region, this cranberry and pecan chicken salad includes elements that will make your tastebuds zing! From the tart and sweet combo of fresh cranberries and cranberry sauce, the added crunch from the diced celery and poppy seeds, to the grounding notes of pecans, this recipe will be sure to leave you feeling refreshed and energized. It works great as a satisfying lunch served on toasted bread or with a fresh bed of lettuce. Give it a try!
The book of Proverbs is a wonderful treasure trove full of insights, instruction, understanding, and wisdom. In this teaching, Cindy shares with us examples from her own life on how she has put those treasures into practice with her relationship with God, her students, her five children and her husband. She encourages us to dig deeper to see how we can glean from even the seemingly small surprises God gives us through the scriptures and apply them to every aspect of life. When we offer of ourselves, we take time to treat the others around us well, with value, love, and honor, and that is the key component of wisdom!
Welcome back to a new season at Magnolia Place!
This Winter Season is on the “Wisdom of the Proverbs.”
Starting with our first week, the discussions revolve around the topic of “Trust.” Trusting God to give us the right words to speak. Trusting that God is the source of provision. Trusting the Lord to give us discernment. And putting our trust in the God who is everlasting!
Join Pastor Margaret as she teaches on the importance of structuring our thoughts so our words reflect our Heavenly Father! Zoya will welcome us into her kitchen as she prepares Vinegret, a winter dish from her home country, and share what it means to be rooted in Jesus Christ! Dr. Deborah will then share on the different kinds of wisdom and how we need to rely upon our Lord’s wisdom to walk the path of righteousness. We’ll wrap up this edition with a time of worship, lead by Gillian Harper with the song Everlasting God!
Enjoy and be blessed today!
Though I may walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death I will fear no evil for thou art with me… – Psalm 23:4
Our God is The Everlasting God, and He is our salvation. In time of strength. In times of weakness. In times of hope. And in times of despair. He is there. In this time of worship, we pray that wherever you are, may this song remind you He is indeed your light and salvation and you have no need to fear, (Psalm 27:1).
