Artisan Highlights: Jordie DiFernando is a freelance artist from Norfolk, Virginia, and founder of local nonprofit, Compassion Cards. Jordie has struggled with depression and anxiety throughout her life, and utilizes art to bring peace to an often chaotic world. I’m addition to her work with Compassion Cards, Jordie’s artwork has been featured in a student cohort art exhibition at Old Dominion University, and she’s also worked as an art instructor with the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts. A Portion Given to Missions: Additionally, Magnolia Place will be donating 25 percent of the profit from each item sold, to go directly to missions. Currently all funds will be going to help support the educational needs for the upcoming school year for the children of the Myanmar Hope orphanage.
