Bonnie was the first person in my life to talk about a relationship with God. Even though I was in church every week, and religious school every week, I never knew I could have a relationship with Him. I knew He was there, and I knew who Jesus was and what He did for me on the cross, but He was up there, and I was down here. Bonnie seemed to know God, and that always stayed with me. I was 16 then, and now decades later, it’s precious to see her here still in love with God and sharing Him with the world. It took me another 16 years to really get it, but Bonnie planted the first seed and she was the first one I told when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. She has a very special place in my faith journey and I’m grateful for her witness — just by being herself.
