Reading from Malachi 3:8-12, we see the instruction to bring the tithe, a tenth of our increase, and our offerings into the storehouse. We see that God tells us to test Him on this, and He promises that He will pour out a blessing on us, and rebuke the devourer so that He does not destroy the fruit of our ground, and that the fruit of our vine in the field will not fail to produce for us. Dr. Deborah Harper is our host today, sharing God’s Perspective on Money by explaining the concepts of tithes and offerings.
Although not included in this devotional, it’s important to note that Jesus also taught in scripture, one place being, Matthew 23:23, that the more important matters of the law…. justice, mercy, and faithfulness, should be kept, without neglecting the tithe also.
