This article is geared toward my relationship to Jesus, my Lord. It speaks of how I came to know Him personally. This came about by reading the Word daily, prayer and spending time with Him until He releases me, no matter how long it may be. Time loses it essence when one is caught up in His presence. This is my personal testimony regarding my intimate relationship with my Lord.
I am not a bible scholar, or a theologian. I am just an ordinary woman like so many others. The world sees me as a wife and mother, coming and going about my daily chores. I lived my life feeling as if I had no special talents to offer, but I became a woman who was radically changed when I accepted Jesus as my Savior. Because of this one glorious event, that which was ordinary became extraordinary. What talents He has given me have blossomed forth into a thing of beauty by writing whatever He relates to me. I also write love letters to Him as I respond to His pouring out His love to me.
I speak to Him from a heart of a woman who has been transformed into a scribe to the King of Kings. I am awestruck by the fact that He drew me to Himself and speaks to me from His heart about the mysteries of the Word; that He has walked with me along the paths of my new life in Him and led me to the wells of living waters.
I am so blessed that He hears me as I pour out my love for Him, and more so that He return His love to me in words so beautiful it thrills my soul.
Scholars study the deep truths of the Word, and Theologians debate, but as a woman who is in love with the Living Word, Jesus, I see the Word as love in action. I accept the Word in simplicity according to Psalms 119:130 “The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understand unto the simple.” In light of this, I embrace the first and greatest commandment from Matthew 22:37 “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” KJV
What I have experienced is for everyone who wants to have an intimate relationship with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, Jesus Christ. Take time to read the Word and pray daily. Spend quality time with Him as often as possible throughout the day. Converse with Him from the depths of your soul. Tell Him how much you love and respond to His love for you. It is a glorious experience which will draw you into a place of intimacy with Him.
