Has lethargy taken the place of the fervor you once had for the things of the Lord? Are you drifting in the tide of life, unaware of the dangerous rapids that lie just around the bend?

Without God as our anchor, we will find ourselves adrift in the torrents of conflicts that can pull our very souls under.

We must seek the face of God once again; search Him out. We cannot withstand what life throws our way each day without His abiding presence. We must return to our first love and regain the fervor we once had.

“And you shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

If you find yourself living the Christian life without fervor, you are standing on dangerous ground.

Let us Pray

Father, restore within me the deep desire to seek you in your Word; the hunger I once had to know you better and commune with you. I miss the beauty of the intimacy we once shared. Renew within me a right mind and restore the enthusiasm to praise and worship you with all my heart. I desire to return to my first love where fervor was birthed. This fervor compelled me to search you out that I might come to know you intimately. I thank you Father for restoring the fire that burned within my heart and consumed me completely. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
