Take time to hear what the Bible says about money. Join Dr. Deborah this week as she shares from the eighth chapters of both Deuteronomy and Proverbs on how wealth is built, and what not to forget.
In this Week One Edition, of our new series, “God’s Perspective on Money,” at Magnolia Place, we deliver a timely devotional on the prudence of investing strategically and wisely for profits that won’t be seen immediately. Enjoy this word from Dr. Deborah, “Cast Your Bread Upon the Water,” from Ecclesiastes 11, as you look for seven or eight investment opportunities you can steward, as the Lord will lead you.
And we will be strengthened by the message in the song, “I Surrender All.” Plus, we will show you how we make some “Barbecue French Bread Pizza,” in this week’s food segment, as Dr. Deborah invites us into her kitchen. You’re sure to be blessed by this time together!
In our kitchen segment, we use a garlic spread, pulled pork barbecue meat, barbecue sauce, and pepper jack cheese, to create a delicious french bread pizza. Ten to 12 minutes in the oven is all it takes!
Our devotion to God requires a full surrender of our heart. This involves our minds, emotions, and will. We sing here for you, the classic hymn, “I Surrender All,” in today’s time of worship in song.
In our first devotional of this series on “God’s Perspective On Money,” we read from Ecclesiastes 11, and learn that there are Biblical principles to “casting our bread, or grain, upon the water,” and after many days, it will come back to us. It requires prudence to put money toward something, and not see the profits immediately. We will learn both practical and spiritual ways that we can see a return on our money.
