In order to understand our place in God’s kingdom, we must see our right position in relation to Him.

Acts 17:25 (NKJV) says, “Nor is He worshipped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things.” This passage tells us that God does not need anything from us, but that it is He who has given us everything!

It’s therefore, because He has given us life, breath and all things, that the only appropriate, honoring response from us, is to give Him thanks for all of who He is, and all that He has given and afforded us!

Our giving of thanks and our hearts of praise toward Him has a transformative change on us!

We see how great He is! And how mighty He is! And how that He is good and trustworthy!

Our troubles seem really small and temporal in comparison to His strength, wisdom and might!

Ephesians 3 is an amazing passage that shows us our true riches in Christ Jesus! It gets our minds off small earthly things, and sets them on the rich benefits of His love and salvation! Verse 6 says, “That the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel!“

This says it all! He made a way that we all can be heirs of the same promise of God!

Therefore, we give Him thanks not out of obligation, but out of an overflowing gratitude that we have towards Him!

Be blessed today and always!
