It’s never easy to forgive those who have wronged you but you must.

It’s too great a burden to wrestle with and it will afflict your soul, if you hold on to it and act as if you need to avenge yourself.

There is a better way. And that way leads to freedom and peace for your soul. Jesus modeled it when He had been was on the cross suffering in agony. He said to those who had wronged him, and to His accusers, “forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

When we can trust God to vindicate us, and avenge our cause, and restore to us the wrong done, while still pardoning the transgressor in their trespasses, we are following the Biblical way, and fulfilling the Lord’s Prayer, where Jesus taught us to say, “forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”

We can ask for justice, without seeking harm for anyone, and know that God will bring it to us because He is the just judge. He is holy and He is righteous.

Ask Him to give you freedom from offense, power to forgive, and wisdom to walk in obedience.
