The Holy Spirit As Our Helper

As working women, we can be so tired and busy, taking care of responsibilities, children, families, and others, that we don’t think of helping ourselves most of the time. I am so glad that God is there to help during these times and remind us that He is our Helper.

Let’s take a look at what “Helper” means. A Helper is a person who gives assistance or support. A lot of times, it feels like we don’t get enough accomplished or we may not see the support that is needed during our stressful or heartbreaking times. It is such a joy to know that the Holy Spirit is available to help, counsel, and teach. In John 14:26, it says, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” (NKJV) He is always there to help us through anything that concerns us.

What areas do you need the Holy Spirit to help you today?
Here are some common areas that women have asked for help. Seek Him, and He helps!

1. Health-Losing weight, health problems, emotional stability, and/or diet.
Many women have asked me, “What can I do to feel, look, and be better?” Ask the Holy Spirit to help you with achieving your goals, surrounding you with the best support of friends and coaches, and the steps to carry you through. He is intimately acquainted with all our ways, and He knows how to help the best way. Psalm 139:3 “You comprehend my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways.” (NKJV)

2. Finances-Financial breakthrough, funding, and/or debt freedom.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help resolve and give you wisdom. He is the best problem solver for every situation. He sees and knows everything. He gives wisdom generously. James 1:5 “ If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.” (NKJV) The Holy Spirit has the power to help us build wealth and be successful. Deuteronomy 8:18 “Remember the LORD your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath.” (NLT) He moves in power through any situation (Acts 1:8).

3. Counsel-Relationships, problems, and/or insight.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help, comfort, strengthen, heal, encourage, and/or give you peace. He knows how to work with everyone and causes everything to work together for good. John 14:26 “But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.” (AMP) The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, sees all things, and knows how to advocate for all of us. John 14:16-17, “I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth.” (NIV)
