Words of Jesus: Our Father

Play Video

“Our Father, who art in Heaven… the opening phrase to what we know as “The Lord’s Prayer,” gives us the focus and format of effective prayers. Jesus instructed His disciples to pray to the Father., and to honor His holiness. Jesus said that the lengthy and proud prayers of the Pharisees were not sincere, but just for show, and that we, as His followers, are not to pray that way.

In this edition, join our host, Dr. Deborah Harper, as we hear from Dr. Dana Cavallaro teaching on “The Lord’s Prayer,” and how it is the heart behind the prayer that matters.

Dr. Deborah will then take us into the kitchen as she prepares easily-made sandwiches to go.

And then for our time of worship, Spoken-Word artist, Merle Mills, shares with us a spoken word on freedom in our Lord. When we give Him the burden of our guilt, we are free!
